The Goblin Encampement - Notice of Intent A soft, sunny day greetings the front of the Red Moon Volunteer Army's front office. A shadow, barely covering the entryway, seems to play off the nearby walls, dancing with the shifting light as the sun continues its rise over the cityscape. Hanging on the board at the end of the small walkway leading up to the office, are a collection of notices - requests for assistance, bounties for individuals being hunted, as well as a new, freshly inked piece. One which is similar to many others strewn across Alterna in the early morning, a request made to the many Volunteer Soldiers that call the city home...A few individuals glance at the fluttering paper, some stepping closer to read over it carefully, before rushing off into the distance. A few head into the office itself, questions on the tip of their tongue and a desire to know more urging them onwards. Most pass by it without a second consideration, knowing that this is not for them - but those who do stop and look...those few, who carry themselves with a manner of arms and armour, know that this is an experience they couldn't possibly pass up...

Acting as part of a far larger force in the frontier army sounds a lot safer to Yasmin than just kind of roaming the wilds on her own or in a small, isolated group, so she signs on for this strike against the goblins. She does understand why the silver is given upon people's return but she will at least try to convince them to part with it beforehand so she could get some lighter armour and maybe something to help her magic be more effective... Particularly since, as she recently discovered, difficulty concentrating makes casting far harder than it is in the relatively safe walls of the church.
Allure Check: [1d50+1] Roll: [42] Result: 43
And she's surprisingly convincing, explaining her intention to get better equipment and training to make sure more people get back in one piece, and she doesn't even stammer or hesitate like she was expecting to. That's a great sign for the day to come.

As this would be his first real fight, Karli was nervous. He was confident in what he learned from his teacher at the Thieve’s guild, but he had no real experience, nor a group he could trust his back with. Thus, he figured this would be the safest option, and no one would pay explicit attention to him, so he could maybe get some goblin kills in and find some loot without being dragged into a big fight.
He roamed around the area indicated by the flyer for a bit, before finding someone who looked like they could be a receptionist of some sort. Or just, someone with information he could use. Karli walked up to the person, figuring he should know as much as possible before diving in.
“Excuse me.. but do we have a map of the encampment, or the general area? Do we know their numbers or something? And what does this Krinas person look like..? And what can they do..?”
He didn't want to be annoying with all the bombardment of questions, but he figured he should take his chances. Better safe than sorry!

Izumi was on her usual aimless stroll around town, demon in tow when she stumbled toward the small crowd around the notice board I wonder what's going on... I can't read it from here she approaches the board to read it properly "Khe" Abel randomly stammers from behind her "An opportunity to send so many to Skullhell all at once. We can make them suffer greatly, oh so greatly" the demon cackles "Shush Abel, you're scaring people" Izumi silences the demon He isn't wrong though. This seems like a no brainer
After a bit more consideration Izumi decides to wait to see how many others sign up for it, namely she's waiting to confirm the participation of two specific volunteer soldiers I wonder if Nym and Lukas are alright. Well Nym is probably fine but I'm worried Lukas is off doing something crazy because he got confused After getting lost in her thoughts again she turns her attention back to the crowd.
The two individuals she quickly takes notice of being a girl probably a paladin or priest trying to get their pay early and a nervous looking boy They both seem new. Not that i'm really much better off than them. She decides to move up closer to the two to hear the response to their questions but she can't imagine anyone who runs the place to give them an inch if her interaction with Gregoire was anything to go off. She didn't think he was even capable of answering questions given he's most likely some reptile or machine under a guise of orange hair and human flesh

Somewhere along the line, Lukas had already signed up for the expedition. After all, any chance to kill more goblins, he wouldn't pass up. In his leather armor, hands on his dual short-swords, he looked more like a native than most, although his peculiar pale skin and dark hair still set him apart quite a bit. When a young thief from the Guild began to ask questions of him, however, he regarded him with measured curiosity, before replying in his usual monotone. "Map of the encampment or area unknown. Likely to be hostile and unpleasant. Numbers to be at the very least outnumbering. By what margin unknown. Krinas Graresh. Goblin, kill and bring back head for fifty silver. Tougher goblin than the rest." It was entirely unclear whether Lukas was merely speculating, actually knew some of this information beforehand and was sharing what he knew, or was simply playing an elaborate ruse upon a young thief, although the last was fairly unlikely.

It had been some time since he had settled into this new and bizarre placing, his garb and staff now indicated that he was indeed a Mage and his seven-days training with them had brought his inherent spell casting ability out of him. He saw armored people walk towards the sign, read it, and linger for a bit until leaving. He decided to have a go, moving close enough to read what they wanted and what they wanted them to do and all Dominic could do was stifle a laugh. None of this was normal still but he knew that they all needed money to survive in this hellish place and that's exactly what these people were offering.
His eyes scanned the room cautiously, he couldn't tell what the collective were by simply scanning but some of them looked a bit more geared out than he was while others looked like they were just as new as himself.
Dominic would sign up himself with a nod to the others, "It's either we wittle away in this place or we potentially die to some goblins, pick your poison."

It wasn't long after hearing about the planned raid on a nearby goblin encampment from a fellow warrior that Wayland had made his way to the Volunteer Army's office. There was already quite a crowd outside of the building already, some faces familiar, some he had seen in passing, and others that were completely new. He didn't bother stopping to talk to any of them--not yet, at least--instead making a beeline for the office and opening the door with his boot. Once inside, he walked over to the desk and slapped down two items, each emitting a dull clang one after the other, before addressing the receptionist. "Here. These are for anyone who can make use of them during the mission. If nobody takes them, just put their worth towards drinks for when we come back."Two free items:
Well-Kept Shield Worth 7 Coppers, +3 to Defiance, Restriction: Only Equippable with One-handed Weapons
Well-Kept Breastplate Worth 9 Coppers, +1 to Reflex, Restriction: Paladins and Warriors
